Percy Lane Products was founded on 22 June 1932 by Captain Percy Lane with the intention of providing windows, windscreens and louvres for all classes of mechanically propelled vehicles and caravans. This tradition remains true to this date, although both the industry base and the product range have expanded through ongoing development and competitor acquisition. PLP’s core business remains the manufacture of aluminium frames. Our proprietary window and door systems are engineered to create bespoke products for individual customer needs. Complimentary items such as coach panels and locks give PLP a complete range of high quality products for a multitude of industries. Percy Lane Products Ltd is based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, in a 7150m2 facility, near the heart of the country conveniently placed for easy access to major road networks. Within the business significant emphasis is placed upon the skills and dedication of the workforce coupled with modern and efficient plant and equipment including: • 5-axis GEOS machining centre • 4-axis ARIEL machining centre + Router • Four CNC milling machines • Two CNC bending centres • Polyester powder coating facility with automated pre-treatment • Wetpoint Spray & Temperature Cooling Booth • Multiple aluminium welding bays • Sheet metal facility; Turret Punch & Brake Press • Bonding of aluminium and glass • Water test spray booth • Type and serial testing facilities including impact rigs Coupled with a dedicated engineering and development team using 2D Autocad and 3D Solid Works software Percy Lane Products Ltd has the top to bottom capability to support new clients requiring bespoke product as well as continually developing existing parts to aid customer enhancement. Percy Lane Products Ltd holds quality approvals of the highest standards including ISO9000:2000 thus ensuring product conformance, as well as ISO14001, providing a safe and environmentally conscious workplace. As well as operating under the Percy Lane name PLP also includes the trading activities from businesses formerly operating as Beclawat, Overton, Perryform and Severn Yacht Marine.
