The photographs below show the lock mechanism mounted to an emergency exit door as well as a typical lock casing and exterior handles.

A comprehensive range of steel locks is available from PLP to suit either slam or rotating handle applications.

Due to the base material the PLP lock range is extremely durable and of the highest quality, thus providing the user with a robust product designed to outlast others on the market.

The exterior handle has been ergonomically designed and has the word ‘PULL’ cast into it, to give the user clear instruction on its use, available in either key locking or non-locking configuration. Alternatively the handle can be supplied without wording if preferred.

The interior lock casing and accompanying rod can be either face mounted to a door or, if the door is being manufactured by PLP, can be recessed between internal and external skins.

An interior handle can be located at any point along the internal rod which releases the lock tongue when operated.

If the overall dimensions or profile of the door dictate the need for more than one locking point then the PLP lock range is modular in design and can accommodate two or three point locking also.

Note that the lock casing can be mounted horizontally or vertically in this case.

The PLP lock range is available in black polyester powder finish and may be purchased either pre-assembled to a door product or as a stand-alone commodity.
